Baked Apples

There’s something about the smell of apples baking that feels like home. It’s simple, just fruit, oats, a little butter, and our Sweet Drop blend. But when it comes out of the oven, it’s more than dessert. It’s the kind of recipe that makes people gather around the table before it even cools.

These baked apples are one of those dishes that look fancy, but takes less time than you think. They’re unfussy and cozy, filled with oats and brown sugar, then dusted with Sunday Dinner’s Sweet Drop. Each spoonful tastes like apple pie without the crust - familiar, warm, and just a little nostalgic.

We love making these on cool fall evenings, when everyone drifts into the kitchen at different times. By the time the apples are ready, we’re all there, ready to dive in.

Which apples are good for baking? I personally love baking with honeycrisp apples, but granny smith, fuji and braeburn apples are all great choices as well.
